Ben Spencer
(defender) - Ben is a level headed utility player, a true club man. Keeps it simple rarely giving the ball away and turned in some impressive showings at the back last season. Ben has been with the club a long time and came through the ranks to become a valuable asset to the club in the Ridgeons League.

Patrick ‘Patch’ Brothers (central midfield) - Patrick is an ‘in your face’, box to box midfielder. Offers much energy to the team and wants to get involved in everything that is going on during a match. Patrick has been team captain for a while and he leads by example and seems to cover every blade of grass on a pitch. Getting back to full fitness again after a serious injury. ‘Patch’ was ‘Player of the season’ for season 2007-2008 for both the first team and the under 18’s team.

James Long (defender) - James was captain of the Brantham side in 2007/2008 that won the SIL Championship title. Turned out for neighbours East Bergholtin 2007/2008 but was on his back to us after a couple of months. A solid defender, both on the ground and in the air and James puts 100% effort into every game he plays in.

Simon Mann (attacking midfielder/defender) - Pacey, tall wing back. Adds explosive movement all over the pitch. Possesses an awesome right peg and brings the fans to their feet with his forward runs. Simon has the ability to change a game and notched up an impressive hat-trick against Thetford Town last season. Fully fit after sustaining a nasty injury playing for Colchester United.

Andrew French (defender) - A ‘home grown’ player and ever present for the last two seasons. Always ready to get involved in the action and has gone from strength to strength. Full of confidence and a natural ability to read the game. Returning after spending almost five months injured. Andy has had a good pre-season and is getting back to full fitness.

David Grimwood (attacking midfielder) - David joined us from Felixstowe & Walton United and has proved to be a big asset to the team. Likes to be involved in every attack going forward but is also prepared to do his share of defending when needed. A top class midfield general. In 2007/2008 David scored the winning goal as his SIL team Grundisburgh won the Suffolk County Senior Cup final beating Hadleigh United 3-2.

Jonathan Crouch (defender/midfield) - ‘Jono’ started off with the reserve team and some top class performances have seen stake his claim for a regular place in the first team. Can play in midfield or at the back and ‘Jono’ is an uncompromising defender and is comfortable on the ball.

Oliver Mann (forward) - ‘Ollie’ is a player who came through our youth system and rejoined the club at the start of the season after having been with Harwich for a while. A very hard working and quick front man and certainly knows how to find the back of the net. Our leading goal scorer last season with 20 league goals. Hard to knock off the ball and causes opponents problems with his pace and ability.

Jack Sibbons (defender/midfield) - Brantham signed Jack Sibbons from Harwich & Parkeston. Jack is a player who wants to get involved in everything and he is equally at home at the back as he is in midfield. Jack is one of those player who puts everything into the game.

Lee Wilcox (attacking midfield) - Lee is a hard working attacking midfield player. Strong in the tackle and has the ability to turn defence into attack. A quick thinking player on the ball and is always looking to be involved in the action. Lee joined us from Whitton United last season.

Ryan Bedingfield (goalkeeper) - Was the first team keeper in 2007/2008 when we won the SIL Championship. Spent the early part of last season at Harwich and Parkeston and East Bergholt before rejoining us. On his day a top class goalkeeper and Ryan is a very good shot stopper.

Kieran Lawler (attacking midfield) - Kieran came through the youth set-up and an energetic player who has lots of potential. Was the club’s leading goal scorer in 2007/2008 in our championship winning side playing as an out and out centre forward. This season has set himself a target of goals from the midfield slot and has already hit home 10 goals.

Sean Gunn
(forward) - Another player who came through the youth set-up and Sean has fast feet and an even faster mouth and has a great future in the game. Sean is the sort of player who can turn any game in a split second. Has the pace, ability and skill to leave defenders flat footed.

Lee Grimwood (midfield/striker)
Lee, a proven striker, joined the club from SIL senior team Grundisburgh, just prior to Christmas. Lee has been top goal scorer in the senior division of the SIL and has already made his mark in the Ridgeons League. Notched up a very impressive hat-trick, one of many I have a feeling, away to Downham Town. Lee has electric pace and his ability to run at defenders and beat them is great to watch.

Tom Throssell
(midfield)
Tom is a young player who has come on in leaps and bounds this season and has already started a senior Ridgeons League game against Downham Town, in which he gave a very good display and certainly got involved in everything that was going on in the game. Played for Needham Market prior to joining us.

Adam Bloss
(midfield)
Adam joined us from Premier Division side Harwich and Parkeston after the first team, withdrew from the Ridgeons League. Adam has also played for FC Clacton and is the sort of player who can boss the midfield and is the sort of player who thrives on challanges.
